As a way to convene community, state, and national stakeholders in the afterschool and expanded learning environment, the North Carolina Center for Afterschool Programs (NC CAP) holds its annual Synergy Conference.  The Synergy Conference convenes hundreds of out-of-school time providers, including faith-based organizations, community colleges, universities, child advocacy groups, community entities, and other stakeholders to share insight on research-based practices, effective programs, and public policies that impact students and their overall success in school and life. Elected officials and policymakers are invited to attend in order to hear how grassroots efforts are making a difference in the local community, families, and through student achievement.
