(RALEIGH, N.C.— December 7, 2020) The Public School Forum of North Carolina is pleased to announce that Participate Learning has committed to being a Forum Partner.
“We are thrilled and so grateful for Participate Learning’s gift and their desire to become a Forum Partner,” said Public School Forum’s Board Chair Tom Williams. “Participate Learning has long supported the Public School Forum’s efforts to advance the cause of public education in North Carolina, and with this gift we are able to continue making a strong impact toward ensuring all children in our state have equal access to a sound basic education.”
“Few organizations have made such a profound and lasting impact on our public schools as the Public School Forum of North Carolina. We are thrilled to partner with them in support of high quality, equitable education opportunities for all students in North Carolina’s public schools,” said Participate Learning’s CEO, David Young.
The donation comes as part of the organization’s new Forum Partners Program, which provides businesses and other organizations with tailorable options to support K-12 public education advocacy in North Carolina.
Participate Learning’s support will help grow the Forum’s newly launched Dudley Flood Center for Educational Equity and Opportunity, which aims to address issues of equity, access, and opportunity in education across North Carolina. The partnership will also support the Forum’s NC Resilience and Learning Project, which is a whole school, whole child framework working with districts and schools across the state to create trauma-informed learning environments that are safer and more supportive for all kids.
