Gina Holste is the Reading Intervention Specialist at Valle Crucis School in Watauga County. Previously in her career, she taught Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th grade. Gina earned her BS in Elementary Education and MA in Reading Education from Appalachian State University. She is a National Board Certified teacher who serves to mentor beginning teachers and other teachers who are pursuing National Board Certification. Gina grew up in the Piedmont area. She feels blessed to reside in beautiful Watauga County with her husband and two children. Gina is passionate about social and emotional well being for adults and students, community partnerships and watching children learn to read.
