Crimson Reifenstuhl is an English teacher at Ashe County High School, in the midst of her second year teaching. While she is still in the beginning of her journey in education, she’s experienced the joys of teaching English III and every level of English I, and has the privilege of being the high school’s yearbook advisor this year! Crimson received her BS in English, Secondary Education at Appalachian State University, where her love for this rural, mountain community flourished. She grew up in rural Wisconsin, and between living in two different rural areas of the country, she’s seen the similarities within the two even though they are vastly different in other elements. One of Crimson’s aspirations is to help education have a sight of how rural communities are impacted, both positively and negatively, within the education system and help create a version of education that doesn’t forget about the rural communities.
