Ashley Speller Bradley is the principal of Bertie Middle School in Windsor, North Carolina. A native of Bertie County, she has dedicated more than 16 years to serving students, families, and educators in her community. Throughout her career, she has served as a science teacher, after-school tutor and site coordinator and school administrator.
Ashley earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Elizabeth City State University, a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix, and a Master of School Administration from East Carolina University. Her leadership centers on strengthening instructional practices, building teacher capacity, improving student achievement, and ensuring that students in rural communities have access to meaningful educational opportunities.
Ashley seeks to expand her understanding of education policy and its impact on rural schools. She is committed to using her voice and experience to advocate for equitable resources, effective policies, and stronger outcomes for all students. Ashley is also a wife, mother of three, and proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
