Ashlee Zachary serves as a 7th-grade Science teacher at Rosman Middle School in Rosman, NC, where she has dedicated the entirety of her seven-year teaching career. Recognized for her excellence and commitment to the field, she was named the 2026–2027 GEAR UP Innovator of the Year and the 2021–2022 Transylvania County Schools Rookie Teacher of the Year.
A proud product of North Carolina public education, Ashlee graduated from Blue Ridge Early College in Cashiers, NC, in 2017. She earned her B.S. in Inclusive/Special Education from Western Carolina University’s College of Education and Allied Professions in 2020. Driven by the core belief that every student can achieve success when equipped with the right tools, she strives to provide her students with an equitable public school experience that will prepare them for life after high school, regardless of the path that they take. Additionally, Ashlee is passionate about beginning teacher mentorship and retention.
Ashlee resides in Cedar Mountain, NC with her husband, their two children, and dog.
