Dana M. Goshorn is a passionate math educator and teacher leader with nearly two decades of experience helping students and fellow teachers thrive. Throughout her career, she has taught mathematics across a diverse range of settings—including urban, rural, public, and charter schools. Currently teaching at Smoky Mountain High School in Western North Carolina, Dana leads her school’s Math 1 team and serves as the MTSS Committee Chair. Honored as the 2026 Jackson County Public Schools Teacher of the Year, she brings a deep commitment to excellence in education to her work every day. Dana holds an Education Specialist degree in Math Education from Kennesaw State University and is thrilled to connect with fellow advocates as part of the 2026–2027 North Carolina Education Policy Fellowship cohort!
