Hi, my name is Tracee Moore and I am a NC Native. I attended undergrad at UNCG where I majored in Human Development and Family Studies, Birth to Kindergarten. I have my Montessori Certification for Early Childhood 3-6yr olds. I have taught in a variety of settings, including traditional pre-k, Montessori Pre-k/k combination as well as traditional kindergarten. After an amazing 15 years, I decided to use the other portion of my degree and spend some time in Early Intervention, supporting families with getting resources and services. Over the summer I decided it was time for me to grow professionally so I have returned to graduate school to obtain my Masters in Reading and Literacy. My goal is to return to the public school sector once I gain some experience where I can return to support literacy initiatives at the District and one day state level.
Prior to Covid, I began to explore advocacy and speaking up and out in support of Public Education. I am fiercely passionate about Early Childhood Education, kindergarten, developmentally appropriate practices, equitable public school systems, and so much more. I’m so happy to be here, I’m looking forward to the opportunity to learn and grow so I can see if a future in educational policy is my next step.
I’m eager and excited about the year ahead and I cannot wait to learn a new set of skills that I can use to apply and support my passions!
