RALEIGH, NC (August 30, 2017) – Lindsay Wagner is joining the Public School Forum of North Carolina as Senior Writer/Researcher. Most recently, Wagner worked at the A.J. Fletcher Foundation providing research, analysis, and reporting on key education issues with a focus on transparency and accountability in education funding. Prior to that, she worked for N.C. Policy Watch as an education reporter where she covered state education policy.
“There are few individuals who have written as extensively on North Carolina education policy over the last 5 years as Lindsay Wagner,” said Keith Poston, President & Executive Director, Public School Forum of North Carolina. “Lindsay is widely respected for her in-depth research and analysis on key policy matters affecting public education in North Carolina and I am thrilled to add her to our growing team.”
At the Forum, Wagner will provide research, analysis, and reporting on issues pertaining to education in North Carolina, contribute to the Friday Report, support the Forum’s television show, Education Matters, and work collaboratively on original white papers, research projects and other key Forum publications. Wagner’s hire was made possible thanks to the support of the A.J. Fletcher Foundation.
Prior to relocating to North Carolina in 2012, Lindsay worked for the American Federation of Teachers in Washington, D.C. as a writer/researcher focused on higher education policy. She has also served the Fulbright cultural exchange program assisting students and scholars in the Asia-Pacific region, worked for the National Education Association as a graduate editorial assistant for their higher education journal, and worked in the press office for the Washington, D.C.-based think tank The Brookings Institution.
Lindsay earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and business from the University of Maryland-College Park and a Master of Arts degree in international education policy, also from UMCP.
