Tina Propst

Tina Easter-Propst is the College Access Coordinator at Catawba Valley Community College. I serve as the GearUp Coordinator, Pre-Apprenticeship Coordinator, and Scholar Advisor, empowering students with post-secondary opportunities.

I was born in Hickory, North Carolina. I grew up as the middle of three sisters, fueled by a passion for basketball that led me to play at Belmont Abbey College. My father’s emphasis on hard work and education, encapsulated in his mantra, “You can be who you want by making the right decisions at the right time,” has guided my journey.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Belmont Abbey College, a teaching license in Business and Marketing, and a degree in School Administration from Appalachian State University. My career integrates technology, education, and leadership.

I find joy in traveling with my grandchildren, relaxing with nature sounds, and nurturing my newfound passion for houseplants, reflecting my love for growth. Weekly Sunday School meetings uplift and inspire me.

My goal is to leave a legacy of positivity, lifelong learning, resilience, and the courage to pursue dreams, inspiring others to embrace optimism and perseverance.
