My name is Stacy Raby, and I began my career in education as a non-traditional college student while working part-time as a math tutor with Macon County Schools. While working as a tutor, I pursue my Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education, and I went on to spend 13 years teaching, primarily 7th grade math. During that time, I also completed my Master’s in School Administration, which strengthened my skills as both an instructional leader and advocate for students.
In January 2025, I transitioned into my current role as the GEAR UP Coordinator for Macon County Schools. In this position, I work with students, families, and educators to provide opportunities that build academic skills, encourage college and career exploration, and prepare students for success beyond high school. I am passionate about helping students see their full potential and supporting them as they take steps toward achieving their goals.
Outside of work, I am married and a proud parent of two grown children and five grandchildren, and I share my home with a furry family member, Winston.
