Sebastian Pruett is the Program Coordinator of the NC Center for Afterschool Programs (NC CAP). NC CAP is a statewide network of afterschool and expanded learning that works with afterschool providers, state agencies, state and local policymakers, law enforcement, universities and community colleges, business, and the philanthropic community to increase access to high quality afterschool and expanded learning programs for all children and youth in NC. Sebastian earned a B.A. in Corporate Communication from Penn State University Scranton. Sebastian is originally from California, but has lived in several places across the U.S., including in North Carolina, Colorado, and Pennsylvania. One of his goals is to help build and support inclusive, educational spaces for all students to thrive (including queer and neurodivergent students). Towards this goal, they hope to develop their understanding of educational policy and advocacy. Sebastian lives in Durham, NC and you can often find them enjoying a dangerously sweetened coffee drink at a local cafe!
