Dr. Jessica Anthony is the Principal at Davenport A+ Elementary School in Lenoir, North Carolina. She was named the 2025 Wells Fargo Northwest Region Principal of the Year for NC. Prior to becoming an administrator, she taught high school Spanish for 8 years. Jessica earned her BA in Spanish and Political Science from UNC Chapel Hill, an MA in Curriculum and Instruction and School Administration from Appalachian State University, and an EdD in Educational Leadership from Liberty University. Jessica is a passionate advocate for students, partnering with teachers and school leaders to champion excellence in education and ensure every child receives the highest quality learning experience. She is a Caldwell County native and resides in Lenoir, NC with her husband and two boys.
