Shanequa Green is a Program Associate on the College Prep team with Road to Hire. Road to Hire provides continuous support from high school classrooms, primarily in Title 1 schools, to high-paying careers, and equip young professionals with the skills, confidence, and opportunities to unlock economic mobility and lasting career growth. Previously, she was a secondary science instructor for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. She has a B.S. in biochemistry from Mary Baldwin University. Since working for the school district and volunteering with her children’s school PTSA, Shanequa has realized her passions lie in advocacy and learning more about education policy. She believes that all students in North Carolina deserve a quality education no matter what their zip code is. Shanequa has lived in Charlotte, North Carolina for the past 10 years with her husband and two children.
