Ben Humphries is a reporter and policy analyst from Cary. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Morehead-Cain Scholar with majors in English and Computer Science in May 2022. While in Chapel Hill he wrote for the City/State desk at The Daily Tar Heel and completed an honors thesis in Creative Writing.
Since graduating he has worked for a State House campaign in Illinois, a tech startup in California, and as a translations reader. All the while he traveled, including five months driving back and forth across the United States.
