Marta-Malia Blake is an accomplished educator and Assistant Principal at Cleveland High School in Johnston County Public Schools. With 25 years of experience in education across Florida, Hawaii, and North Carolina, she has dedicated her career to supporting students, empowering educators, and fostering inclusive learning environments.
Malia began her educational journey as a high school English teacher, where she developed a passion for literacy, student success, and building meaningful relationships with students. She later served as a Support Facilitator, working collaboratively with teachers, students, and families to support the transition to inclusive educational practices.
She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from Hawaii Pacific University, followed by a Master’s Degree in School Administration from North Carolina State University.
Throughout her career, Marta-Malia has embraced the belief that education is about more than academic achievement—it is about relationships, opportunity, and helping every student reach their extraordinary potential. Her experiences as a classroom teacher, support facilitator, and administrator have shaped her collaborative approach to leadership and her dedication to the success of students and staff.
