Mallory Hoffman is a current Next Step Adviser for Advise NC at Appalachian State University, helping seniors in high school plan their steps after graduation, whether that’s employment in the community, enlistment in the military, or enrollment in a 2- or 4-year program. Mallory earned a BA in Peace War and Defense and Global History from UNC-Chapel Hill as a Morehead-Cain Scholar and an MA in Political Science and International Affairs from the University of Georgia. Mallory is originally from Randolph County and attended the NC School of Science and Mathematics in Durham. Mallory is an imaginative and strategic thinker with a desire to speak up for those who cannot speak up for themselves. She thrives on intellectual challenges and the opportunity to implement innovative ideas. Mallory currently resides in Cullowhee, NC with her partner, Aleks, and two cats, Winnie and Jude.
