Kathleen Harrell is an Instructional Coach for the New Teacher Support Program (NC NTSP) who supports beginning teachers through a collaborative approach with mentors, principals and district leadership by providing direct support through conversation and reflection. Kathleen believes in the power of coaching partnerships to support and nurture teachers. She believes teachers can build on their strengths in order to fulfill the mission of creating equitable spaces that promote opportunities for all stakeholders to succeed. Kathleen has served as a classroom teacher, intervention specialist and team facilitator, and literacy coach. She is a North Carolina native and a product of North Carolina schools, including her Bachelors degree from East Carolina University and Masters from UNC Chapel Hill. Kathleen lives in Durham with her husband, three sons, and dog.
