Jenn Aguilar serves as the principal at George Watts Montessori, a public Montessori school in Durham Public Schools. Jenn has served in DPS for over 21 years, starting as a lateral entry middle school math teacher, before transitioning into leadership, first as an instructional coach, and then as a school administrator. Jenn is passionate about creating an environment and fostering a community where each person feels seen and valued–belonging is the foundation of safety to maximize growth! She believes this is true for students, educators, and families alike!
Jenn completed her Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management at Ohio State University, followed later by her Masters of School Administration at UNC-Chapel Hill. She resides in Durham with her husband and two teenage boys, and loves spending time on the sidelines, discovering new and delicious restaurants, and finding ways to enjoy the world around her.
