Ginger Stinson is the District-Level Coordinator for MTSS, GEAR UP, and Career and College Promise at Burke County Public Schools. With over 26 years of dedicated service in education, Ginger has developed a comprehensive understanding of student needs across all grade levels. She began her career as a classroom teacher, where she taught for 19 years and built a strong foundation in instructional practices and student engagement.
Following her time in the classroom, Ginger transitioned into school administration, gaining leadership experience at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. This broad exposure has enabled her to advocate effectively for students, supporting their academic growth and encouraging their active participation in school. She is particularly passionate about preparing students for life beyond high school through college readiness programs and career planning initiatives.
In her current role, Ginger oversees critical programs such as MTSS, GEAR UP, and Career and College Promise, working collaboratively with educators, families, and community partners to enhance opportunities and resources for all students in the district.
Ginger earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Appalachian State University. She and her husband, Mark, have two daughters, Lainey and Callie, who both attend Western Carolina University and continue their love for dance as members of the WCU Dance Team.
