Dennise López-Imperial is an alumna of UNC-Greensboro (’20) and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Higher Education Administration through Sam Houston State University. Her current role is as a First in the Forest advisor at Wake Forest University where she serves first-generation and Pell-Eligible students through 1:1 advising, holistic programming, advising a student organization, and teaching a First Year Experience course. As a previous 2025 LatinxEd fellow, she also works closely with LatinxEd as a Regional Alumni Committee Co-Chair. This role consists of programming for the Piedmont-Triad region in alignment with strengthening connection, leadership, and collective impact for fellowship alumni. Dennise finds relationships to be the most rewarding part of being in higher education and hopes to continue to advise and empower first-generation college students.
