Claire LeMoine is the Assistant Director of the ACCESS Scholarship Program at Appalachian State University (ASU). The ACCESS Program is App State’s promise to low-income North Carolina students that higher education is within reach. Students who receive the ACCESS scholarship and support program have the opportunity to graduate debt-free. Claire is passionate about supporting students and helping them meet their unique goals. Claire earned her BA in Psychology with a minor in Marketing and Management from Louisiana College. She has also earned her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a graduate certificate in Expressive Arts Therapy, and a graduate certificate in College and University Teaching from ASU. Claire was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but her heart always longed for the mountains. She knew she had found her new home when visiting Boone and ASU’s campus for her graduate school interview. She has been in North Carolina for seven years, and outside of work, she loves being outside, crafting, and spending time with her friends and family. Most recently, her husband and their two rescue dogs opened their home to start fostering dogs to help the local shelters.
