Caroline Graebe is the Program Coordinator at WakeEd Partnership, a local nonprofit committed to improving public education and advocating for excellent educational opportunities for all students. In addition to working on WakeEd’s Tools4Schools project, a free teacher supply store for WCPSS teachers, Caroline manages WakeEd’s K-5 literacy programs focused on engaging volunteers in public schools, providing access to high-quality home libraries, and accelerating equitable reading growth through high-dosage tutoring. After ten years as an elementary educator, Caroline recently left the classroom to support students and teachers across the district. After graduating from the Wake County Public School System, Caroline earned her BA in English Literature from Appalachian State University. She earned her M.Ed from Alverno College in Milwaukee, WI while completing her service as a 2012 Teach for America Corps Member. She knows the impact of a well-trained and caring teacher in the classroom and believes in adequately funding a public school system to make that a reality for all North Carolina students. Caroline lives in Raleigh and enjoys puzzles, movies, and long walks.
