Andrea Barbosa works as a Program Manager for Participate Learning, specializing in dual language programs. In this role, she works closely with district administrators and principals across multiple counties, providing guidance on how to effectively implement and manage their dual language programs. Andrea is also deeply involved in offering training and professional development opportunities for all stakeholders, helping them to enhance their knowledge in bilingual education. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Universidad Libre (Bogotá, Colombia) and a Master’s in Educational Management from Universidad Central (Chile). Andrea has previously served as a Dual Language Instructional Coach for Union County Public Schools and is a proud former Dual Language Ambassador Teacher. These roles allowed her to make a direct impact on students and promote the benefits of bilingual education. Originally from Colombia, Andrea has been living in the U.S. for 12 years and now resides in Union County, North Carolina, with her husband and their 18-year-old bilingual son.
