Bekah Brown

Evoto

Bekah is a mom first, a policy nerd second, and someone who has never been particularly good at accepting “that’s just how things are” as an answer. What started as advocating for her own child eventually led her into the classroom as both a general and special education teacher. Now, as a Policy Specialist at Education Justice Alliance, she brings the perspectives of both a parent and an educator to her work, along with a deep belief that families and communities should have a meaningful voice in shaping the decisions that affect their lives. She may spend her days reading policy, but she’s never forgotten what it feels like to be the parent on the other side of the table.
