Lindsay Phillips is a National Board Certified Kindergarten teacher with 20 years of experience. She currently teaches at Mountain Island Charter School, located in Mt. Holly, NC. Known for her reflective and intentional approach to teaching, Lindsay is passionate about data-driven instruction and fostering student success. She was named her school’s Teacher of the Year in 2024, and is honored to be the 2025 NC Burroughs Wellcome Fund Charter School Teacher of the Year. A quiet, collaborative leader and dedicated team player, Lindsay continues to serve on school committees, promote literacy, and lead with purpose—all while bringing joy and intentionality into her classroom every day. Her greatest joys are her husband, Kevin, and three children; Maddox, Landon and Parker.
