
Aaron Mabe serves as the State Director of Dual Enrollment at the North Carolina Community College System. In this role, he provides policy oversight for the Career and College Promise program, while supporting all 58 community colleges’ 9-14 pathways, CTE articulation agreements, and K12 partnerships. With over a decade of experience in higher education at both University and Community Colleges, Aaron is dedicated to ensuring equitable postsecondary educational opportunities are available to every North Carolinian. Aaron holds a master’s degree in social work from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke and a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University in Boston. Currently pursuing a doctorate in Community College Leadership at NC State University, his research interests center around support networks for students interested in Career and Technical and Educational pathways. Aaron resides in Fayetteville, NC, with his wife, Cathleen, and two kids, Maddison and Isaac.
