
Erin Hone serves as an Associate Teaching Professor and Director of Teaching Fellows at Elon University. She teaches courses in the teacher education program, including elementary math methods, educational assessment, Teaching Fellows first year seminar, senior capstone seminar, and supervision of professional experiences and student teaching.
Erin holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from Elon University, where she was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow, and an M.Ed. in Elementary Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She began her career as a classroom teacher in Guilford County Schools and later worked as an educational consultant with the Education Research Group, providing beginning teacher support and math coaching to in-service teachers. Erin returned to her alma mater as a faculty member in 2011.
With over 21 years of experience in education, she is passionate about empowering teachers to deliver high-quality, equitable instruction, particularly in public school settings. Erin lives in Whitsett with her husband, Rob, their two children, Brennan and Callen, and their dog, Pork Chop.
