
Dr. Lyndsay Britt is an Assistant Professor and Program Director of the Master of School Administration program at Elizabeth City State University. A lifelong educator and leader, Dr. Britt began her career as a North Carolina Teaching Fellow, earning a degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from East Carolina University. She deepened her passion for mathematics at Appalachian State University, where she completed a Master of Arts in Mathematics with a concentration in Secondary Education.
Dr. Britt started her teaching career at Hertford County Early College High School, teaching mathematics. She later pursued school leadership through the Northeast Leadership Academy (NELA) at North Carolina State University, earning a degree in School Administration in 2016. Her administrative career began as an Assistant Principal at Hertford County High School in 2015, and in 2017, she became Principal of Hertford County Early College High School, where she served for seven years.
Now shaping future school leaders in higher education, Dr. Britt is dedicated to leadership development and excellence in education. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Heath, their daughter, Adalyn, and twin boys, Wade and Wyatt.
