For over 30 years the Public School Forum of North Carolina has been a trusted voice helping to engage, inform, and shape education policy for the state of North Carolina. Our policy team connects with leaders in education, government, business, the nonprofit sector and utilizes high-quality research evidence to inform our non-partisan policy analysis. In line with the Forum’s mission and purpose, we aim to “speak truth to power” and advocate for policies that will help to ensure that all children in North Carolina have access to a meaningful and equitable public education.
Our policy work includes the publication of several annual reports and leading policy programs that are centered around informing and engaging stakeholders in education policy. We also monitor and report on developments in state-level education policy throughout the year and provide additional analysis through op-eds, policy and research briefs, reports, and our weekly Friday Report.
