
Marie Himes, MEd., serves as the Director of the New Literacies Collaborative and a Research Scholar at North Carolina State University’s Friday Institute for Educational Innovation. Himes has worked with the New Literacies Collaborative for nine years, conducting research, creating professional learning experiences, and designing learner-centered instructional resources grounded in the theoretical and practical intersections of literacy, digital technologies, and global competencies. Prior to joining the Friday Institute, Marie taught history/social studies, English, and German with middle and high school students in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Germany.
