Lacey Bennett

Lacey Bennett is an 8th grade school counselor at Kings Mountain Middle and in her 14th year in education. Lacey has worked in school counseling in both North Carolina and Northern Virginia, with experience spanning all levels of K–12 education. Lacey earned a BS in Psychology from Appalachian State University and an MA in School Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University.
She is passionate about advocating for students and strengthening the school counseling profession and is actively involved with the North Carolina School Counselor Association (NCSCA) and its Government Relations Committee. Lacey will present at the NCSCA’s annual conference this fall, sharing ways to help students move beyond the traditional career interest survey and turn career exploration into meaningful plans for their futures.
Outside of school, Lacey and her husband enjoy spending time with their four-year-old son, Graham, and their Cavapoo, Teddy. They are proud to call Kings Mountain home.
