Born and raised in Eastern North Carolina, I am a product of NC K-12 public education. I studied English, Teacher Education at NC State with the NC Teaching Fellows Scholarship. I then pursued my M.A. in English: Rhetoric and Composition also at NC State. I have been in public school classrooms across the Triangle in both Durham and Wake Counties. It’s my thirteenth year investing in public education as a classroom educator. I am currently teaching in Durham Public Schools as an AVID and English Educator and growing my leadership capacity as a ’23-24 Kenan Fellow. In my free time, I’m pursuing unspoiled naturescapes.
