Sarah Bausell, PhD is a Research Scholar on the New Literacies Team at the Friday Institute for Educational Innovation, NC State University. She partners with educators and education leaders to research their changing contexts and offers professional development responsive to their emerging needs. Her work is situated in theoretical and practical intersections of literacy, digital technologies, discourse studies, and global competencies. Prior to her work at the Friday Institute, Sarah taught pre-service teachers at the university level and English at the high school level. Sarah loves community, spending time with her family and friends, traveling to new and familiar places, and getting lost and found in a book.
