
Dr. Nicole Moore is a coordinator in the Office of Clinical Experiences and a graduate instructor for ECU College of Education. She has been in education for over 20 years. She entered the profession through the alternative pathway (ie: Lateral Entry – now known as Residency). Dr. Moore has taught middle school and elementary school in multiple districts across the state. Additionally, she has served as a Reading Coach, an assistant principal and a principal. Dr. Moore is passionate about teaching and learning at all levels.
Dr. Moore enjoys forging bridges that will bring us to a greater awareness of racial equity and social consciousness with the hope of a better human race. Her research focus is teacher licensing pathways as the gateway for increasing Black teachers in public education with a specific focus on rural communities.
