Alison LaGarry-Cahoon is the Director of Evaluation and Research at Participate Learning. She has been in the field of education since 2004 when she began her work as a music educator in the Boston and Washington DC metro areas. More recently, Alison worked at UNC Chapel Hill as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Education where she trained pre-service educators and served as co-lead for CAEP accreditation. She has served as a long-term evaluator for programs such as the A+ Schools Program of NC, Turnaround Arts, and the Perpich Arts Integration Network of Teachers in Minnesota.
In her current role, Dr. LaGarry-Cahoon works to document and analyze the effectiveness of product offerings at Participate Learning (Ambassador Teachers, Global Leaders, and Dual Language/Immersion). Her experience and knowledge of the teaching profession allow her to attend to teacher, school, and community needs in an authentic way.
Outside of work, Alison loves doing art projects with her five-year old daughter Liliana. A lifelong maker, she loves to be creative with all types of media (fabric, fiber, pen, paint, etc.).
