I am Chad Holloman and I am very excited to be a part of the Education Policy Fellowship Program for 2023-2024. My experience in K-12 education started after I graduated from NC State University and landed my dream job as an Agriculture Education Teacher/FFA Advisor. I went on to earn a Masters degree in Agriculture and Extension Education from NC State University. I worked as an Agriculture Education Teacher and Sports Medicine Trainer until I moved into school leadership as a Career Development Coordinator and Administrative Intern. After finishing an add-on Masters in Executive Leadership from Gardner Webb University, I worked as an Assistant Principal at the middle school and high school levels. Since finishing my work as a building level administrator, I have worked for almost four years in district leadership holding the positions of the Director of Transportation Services and Safety/Covid Response Coordinator. I now have the privilege to work in Wake County as a Senior Administrator for CTE Programs, where I have the opportunity to support CTE programs and be the bridge between business/industry partners and CTE classrooms for 6-12 students/teachers.
Outside of work, I am a part time doctoral student at NC State University in the Agriculture and Extension Education Department and live with my wife, who is an Agriculture Education Teacher. We both teach for NCVPS and I serve as a Curriculum Instructional Leader with NCVPS. My wife and I also serve as 4-H leaders in our community and serve on many 4-H/Livestock advisory boards. We live on a small farm where we raise livestock for 4-H projects. I am also a member of our local town planning board and board of adjustments. We are avid NC State fans and enjoy attending as many athletic events as we can on the campus where we met.
